Learn to make your own seed bombs using clay, compost, bio-char, and a huge selection of seeds. Great for "guerilla gardening" to brighten up blighted land, or easily establish a small wildflower patch or potted garden. Be a pollinator hero! Great activity to do with kids! Calling all Radford University students, staff, faculty, and neighbors! The campus market is back from 11-3 on Bonnie Plaza. There will be food and drink trucks, plus fresh produce, crafts, plants, and lots of amazing items from local vendors.
Join Gabriella in cooperation with Blacksburg Parks and Rec on 3/15 from 2-3:30. Learn how to maximize your harvests and get a jump on the season. We’ll cover crop rotation, companion planting realities, seeds vs. purchased plants, and much more. Everyone will leave with a grid plan for their garden. This is my most popular workshop, so I'm having lots of sessions this spring! There will be a myriad of colorful pressed flowers and other dried materials to choose from, all locally grown, pressed, and preserved to retain color. You'll choose from an assortment of metal and glass frames to compliment your flower choices. These make great home decor, and are wonderful gifts.
